SeaLife Auckland - Kelly Tarlton's Turtle Rescue

The Kelly Tarlton's Turtle Rescue Experience beautifully combined physical and digital experiences which helped kids understand the important work the Kelly Tarlton's team at SeaLife Auckland do on a daily basis.

At the Kelly Tarlton's Turtle Rescue Experience children were asked to rescue a turtle and take it on a journey to recovery. Through the clever use of QR codes every child's experience was unique.

At each rescue station kids scanned their turtle card to receive vital information about their turtle and how they can help it back to full health and release.

Digital experiences saw kids weighing, healing and releasing their turtles while the physical experiences saw them answer an emergency phone to receive rescue instructions, feed the turtles with their favourite foods as well as tag their turtles before release.
